For many, the crisp October air and changing leaves signal the kick-off of football season. While the NFL causes plenty of buzz in the cultural zeitgeist from announcing Bad Bunny as the halftime performer at Super Bowl LX to “Taylor Cams” at games, there are over 1,500 players in the league to keep up with. For example, did you know that defenseman Grady Jarrett is selling his Atlanta home? This might not be such a surprise, as Jarrett just switched teams from the Atlanta Falcons to the Chicago Bears.
Jarrett played for the Falcons for a total of 10 seasons, and he certainly had a swanky place to call home in the area. The defenseman’s 11,480-square-foot home is set behind wrought-iron gates and is packed with amenities and glamour. The dramatic, ornate entryway boasts a statement chandelier, a grand staircase, and an intricately designed ceiling. With seven bedrooms and large living spaces throughout, it’s easy to imagine Jarrett hosting family and friends to cheer him on in his games or unwind on bye weeks. There’s a lower level bar, wine room, theater, gym, and of course, a recovery room with a sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub.
Set on two and a half acres, the home is equally impressive and apt for entertaining. A fully-equipped outdoor kitchen, bar, swimming pool, spa, fire pit, playground, and basketball court certainly score some extra points. The property sits in the Sandy Springs suburb of Georgia, just 10 miles from the Falcons’ home turf, Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Jarrett, who signed a $43.5 million, three-year deal with the Bears, just paid $4.3 million for a mansion in a coveted suburb of Chicago, according to Chicago Tribune. Robin Collins of Ansley Real Estate Christie’s International holds the listing.
