Barely two months after hitting the market, Ronald Reagan’s former Los Angeles home has a new owner. The property was listed in July for $7 million, and recently sold for a slightly less $6.45 million. Maybe the secret to the quick sale was the late president’s star power or maybe it was the fact that it hadn’t been on the market for 64 years, either way, it was a real estate triumph.Within the structure’s 6,153-square-feet, there are five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Architect Paul Williams designed the home in 1938 and created rooms with subtle grandeur. Details such as high ceilings, crown moldings, beautiful wainscoting, and tons of French doors work together to make the house feel sophisticated yet livable. The new owner will certainly have fun putting his or her own spin on the spread, however, as the pink carpeting in the master bedroom is crying out for an update.Christophe Choo and the Essex & Harvey Group of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage had the historic listing, which Mansion Global first reported sold.
