Ahead of the holidays, Serena & Lily has been hosting an event series dubbed “Dress the Table” at select store locations from Chestnut Hill to Palm Beach. At each event, a unique tablescape is revealed and will remain on display through the holiday season. In Westport, shoppers, designers, and tabletop aficionados alike gathered to see the table designed by event and wedding planner Augusta Cole.
“For this holiday table, we drew inspiration from the festive fineries of Deeda Blair’s Old-World glamour, paired with the relaxed elegance of Bunny Mellon—a sensibility that feels intrinsic to Serena & Lily,” Cole says. “The design reflects a balance of collected and contemporary: my personal antiques, like 18th-century china, heirloom silver, etched hurricanes and Murano glass, layered with modern entertaining mainstays from Serena & Lily. The result is a welcoming approach to holiday entertaining at home—timeless, personal, and effortlessly elegant while mixing old and new.”
Serena & Lily’s Abderdeen dining chairs surround the table, which is draped in the Salento Border tablecloth. At the center of the table, there are 14” Artisan hurricanes in Star etching, bud vases, brass candle holders, and glass votives, all from E&S Imports.
Meissen porcelain plates from Cole’s own collection sit atop Serena & Lily’s Tavira dinner plates, while the Sabre bamboo 5-Piece flatware is also from Serena & Lily. Florals are by NYC-based Flowers by Ford.
The holiday crackers are by Laura Lines Calligraphy and Augusta Cole and place cards are by Bernard Maisner Calligraphy.
