Singer Adam Lambert’s Sleek Sunset Strip Pad Can Be Yours for $7.4M

Singer, songwriter, and philanthropist Adam Lambert, who shot to fame in 2009 when he earned runner-up on ‘American Idol,’ is selling his Hollywood Hills retreat. The gated, clean-lined residence is asking $7.375 million and it’s the quintessential, modern-glam celebrity home. It’s also located steps from the iconic Chateau Marmont, adding to the Hollywood allure.

Lambert first appeared on American Idol, singing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen in his audition. Who knew that five years later, he would be touring alongside Queen frontmen Brian May and Roger Taylor singing the vocals of late star Freddie Mercury. Lambert has an artistic flair that has characterized his live performances and appearances, and it’s no surprise his L.A. home also showcases touches of drama.

Spanning 5,000 square feet, the modern abode presents sleek first and foremost, but also has fun with pops of color and bold stone choices, as well as details like a midcentury-style suspended fireplace. Lambert’s personal fashion style is a type of ‘glam rock’, characterized by leather jackets and his signature smoky eye. The chef’s kitchen on the main floor is an embodiment of that style, displaying custom black cabinets and a striking center island threaded with gold accents throughout. Pocket glass doors blend the indoors into the outside, opening to a swimming pool and ample outdoor entertaining space.

The upstairs primary bedroom holds that same blend of stylish touches and indoor-outdoor airiness, with the primary suite opening fully out onto a private terrace. An additional three bedrooms and three bathrooms round out the private spaces, all with subtle design differences that foster unique personalities.

According to the Robb Report, Lambert picked the property up back in 2018 for $6.5 million, almost $1 million less than its current asking price. Greg Holcomb of Carolwood Estates holds the listing.
