Stevie Wonder’s Former Calabasas Family Home Comes to Market for $15M

Isn’t this Los Angeles property lovely? Legendary musician Stevie Wonder lived here for quite some time with his family, purchasing it in 2000. Fashion designer Kai Milla-Morris, his ex-wife, is now selling the home. Together, the couple raised their two children here before splitting in 2012, at which point Wonder moved out.

New to the market asking $15 million, the Mediterranean-style mansion spans 11,120 square feet with six bedrooms and six bathrooms. While the residence is evidently impressive, the Wall Street Journal reports that the “Superstition” and “Isn’t She Lovely” singer/songwriter first fell in love with it for a reason that cannot be seen: The acoustics. Of course, the lower levels hosts a piano entertainment room. You can just imagine the musician’s iconic tunes filling the room and echoing through the halls on a daily basis, or during grand parties.

The property is an entertainer’s dream. An oversized island takes center stage in the kitchen, double-height ceilings and windows exude plenty of light in the family room, plus there is a formal dining room, butler’s pantry, and plenty of wine storage. Outside, there is a sparkling pool ready for fun with friends or serene relaxation.

Of course, someone as well-known as Wonder needs privacy and security. The house sits down a long, gated driveway and a 2.8-acre lot. The primary suite is its own oasis, with a living room, fireplace, and private balcony.

Branden Williams, Rayni Williams, Dennis DeWalt, and Brandon Meneses of the Beverly Hills Estates represent the listing for $15 million, or $65,000 per month for those looking to rent.
