Next month, just in time to binge it over the holidays, the fifth season of ‘Emily in Paris’ will hit Netflix. Or, as it’s being nicknamed, ‘Emily in Rome.’
This season is taking the leading character, played by Lily Collins often clad in over-the-top outfits, to Italy’s capital and it’s sure to romanticize this new locale to the max. The show famously focuses on luxury goods, whether it be clothing, champagne, or properties, and this beautiful Rome penthouse could fit in swimmingly.
Listed for €8.5 million, roughly $9.7 million USD, the three-level apartment sits in the heart of Trastevere, a neighborhood akin to the West Village in New York City. It boasts gorgeous details like wood-beamed ceilings, fireplaces, and a magical rooftop terrace where you could spend all your time in sunny Rome. Can’t you just imagine Emily contemplating which love interest she should choose out there with an Aperol Spritz as a golden sunset lingers behind her? Or, popping out for some Roman comfort food (Suppli, Cacio e Pepe, etc.) to the charming, cobblestone streets below?
Alternatively, it’s easy to picture Emily’s boss Sylvie dominating meetings in the refined, wood-paneled office or hosting client cocktail parties in the glamorous dining room. However, with four bedrooms, 4,305 square feet of interiors, and design elements that deliver artful personality and pizzazz, this penthouse is a star in itself whether it ever makes it onto a screen or not.
An interested buyer will have to drop quite a bit to call it home, but an investment in the Eternal City would, theoretically, be a long, long enduring one. Maria Victoria Vaccaro if Italy Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing right above Piazza Santa Maria.
