Bel Air has seen many mansions in its long and celebrity-filled history, but lately, megamansions have been popping up there after years of development. Nile Niami’s ‘The One,’ for example, is listed for $250 million but will go to auction at the end of this month. Doctor-turned-real-estate-investor Joseph Englanoff’s creation known as LA FIN is also now for sale. With the lot purchased by Englanoff and the property completed after nearly five years of construction, it now offers over-the-top everything and coveted privacy for a staggering $139 million.
Designed by architect Brian Biglin, the mansion brings together meticulously sourced European materials and furnishings by Italian company, La Contessina. All of which will be included in the sale.
Perched on a cliffside, the estate’s indoor and outdoor spaces are reminiscent of the most exclusive of resorts. Decked out for everything from nightlife to early morning workouts, there’s a vodka tasting room and private wine room, separately ventilated cigar room, a fitness center, and a 6,000-square-foot nightclub among other amenities. The home theater with imported Belgian leather seating may especially peak sports fans interest. Just imagine watching the Super Bowl there.
The estate includes 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, and the primary suite may be more appropriately named the presidential suite. Handcrafted materials from Portugal and Italy, a lavish bathroom with a 100-square-foot shower, and a wraparound terrace are ripe for many pinch-yourself moments. That is, if billionaires still get phased by homes of this caliber.
A detached guest penthouse, “security command center,” and caretaker residences also sit on the grounds. But this still only scratches the surface of the home’s full offerings. Jon Grauman and Adam Rosenfeld of The Agency hold the listing, completed in 2o21.
