Wallpaper made a splash at this year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse. Colorful, textured, and patterned wallcoverings set the scene in a variety of spaces. View the gallery for inspiration.
In the living room, Mabley Handler Interior Design incorporated Fromental Lumière’s Rockface wall covering. “With its dramatic mountainous landscape in soft, ethereal colors,” says Jennifer Mabley, the wall covering “was our launching point. Mural-style wallpapers have had a huge resurgence.”
SilverLining Inc. featured artisan Miriam Ellner’s verre églomisé backdrop, Hoku Waves in Silvers and Blues behind the bar. Westhampton Architectural Glass installed the backdrop.
“Sometimes the smallest spaces can be the most impactful,” interior designer Tiffany Eastman says about the breakfast room, which she “saturated with textures and softness.” The backdrop of this chic room is a diamond-sketch wallpaper from York Wallcoverings.
The first-floor powder room by Courtney Sempliner Designs is moody and glamorous with Missoni’s Constellations Wallpaper, which is available through York.
Barbara Ostrom, the primary bedroom’s decorator, aimed to keep this gracious space “very soft and pretty.” A blue and white patterned wallpaper sets the tone for the space.
Barbara Lewis of the Lewis Design Group connected the study to nature by using a faux bois pattern on the walls.
The primary bath by Baltimore Design Group features a York wallcovering.
Designer Amy Kummer uses a blue floral print on the walls of this Palm Beach-inspired bedroom.
Courtney Sempliner uses a tiger-print wall covering from York that adds a playful element to the hall bath.
