Like always, the pop culture news cycle and gossip mill has moved on fast from singer Lily Allen and actor David Harbour’s headline-making split, plus the detailed album Allen dropped about it last fall. Around the same time she released her sizzling divorce album, the former couple listed their unique Brooklyn townhouse that featured in the album’s titular song, “West End Girl.”
Likely a relief for both parties, it didn’t take long for the four-level luxury home, priced at $8 million, to attract a buyer and it has now changed hands for $7 million.
Whether the new owner plans to keep the home’s fun and expressive personality is unknown, but its bold aesthetic—which Allen and Harbour crafted with architect Ben Bischoff of MADE and designer Billy Cotton—has been immortalized in their AD house tour. It was in that clip that the duo showed off their favorite parts of the renovated, circa-1899 residence. The elegant English-style kitchen, animal print-clad family room, and patterned, florals-galore primary suite bathroom seemed to top the list. The verdant living room blooming with nature motifs and Zuber wallpaper is an especially enchanting highlight, which the buyer would be crazy to undo.
Throughout the Carroll Gardens townhouse, there are four bedrooms and four bathrooms as well as wellness amenities like a gym in the basement and a Finnish sauna in the garden. While the historic residence didn’t end up being a longtime, happy home for the famous sellers who wed in 2020, they did create a joyful atmosphere for relaxation and creativity here that the new owner can now relish in.
Carl Gambino of the Gambino Group at Compass represented the sellers in this freshly-inked deal.
