Nick Mele’s “Please, No Photos” is on Display in Palm Beach

You can now step inside a Nick Mele photograph in a collaboration between the photographer, designer Caroline Rafferty, and Society Social.

You can now step into a Nick Mele photograph by visiting the photographer’s latest interactive exhibit: “Please, No Photos” in Palm Beach. “I’m a maximalist at heart, and I love the way the decor complements the art and vice versa,” Nick Mele says. The space at 317 Peruvian Ave, which is designer Caroline Rafferty’s showroom, is wrapped in Brunschwig & Fils’ Katibi Leaf Wallpaper, while heritage textiles cover furnishings from Society Social.

“The exhibition showcases a curated assortment of our core categories, from artistan-crafted wicker and rattan to custom upholstery and bespoke color, all coming together in one vibrant, cohesive space that invites play,” says Roxy Owens, the founder and creative director of Society Social. The livable showroom features pieces from the brand’s furniture collaboration with Mele, as well as designs from its partnership with the nearby Colony Hotel.

Guests are encouraged to take a seat and play a game of mahjong or backgammon. “It’s so much more interesting and immersive than having a show in a standard white box gallery,” Mele says.

“Please, No Photos” open through May and available to view by appointment only via info@nickmelefineart.com.
