If his real estate record is any indication, it seems retired pro snowboarder Shaun White is a fan of sunshine as much as he is of snow. The three-time Olympic gold medalist is originally from Southern California and has owned various properties in the balmy region in the past few years. In 2020 he sold a two-lot Malibu property for $8 million and in 2024 he sold this midcentury modern in Hollywood Hills for $3.925 million to retired Louis Vuitton executive, Michael Silvaggi. Now, just as another exciting Winter Olympic Games has wrapped up, it’s up for sale seeking $4,999,999.
When White sold the circa-1955 property, it had a simple, light, and airy design palette. However, the seller worked with design/build firm Studio Veren to completely reimagine the property into a sultry, sophisticated space with rich materials, plus new windows, roofing, and flooring. “We decided to make it really dark, sexy, and moody. Our reference point was Tom Ford meets midcentury,” the seller, Silvaggi, tells Forbes.
Glassy and chic, the midcentury gem is ideal for a stylish singleton or couple as it offers just 2,000 square feet, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Today, its especially suave with custom furnishings in top-of-the-line fabrics like Schumacher, Perennials, Pierre Frey, and Dedar. Floor-to-ceiling windows blur the lines between indoors and out, with panoramic views of Los Angeles showing off what a prime location it’s perched in. Outside, there is complete privacy. A stone walkway leads to the home, while a swimming pool and plenty of lounging terraces await out back. The two-car garage is equipped with a Tesla charger.
