The sunflower is one of the many flowers homeowner Lindsey Cole grows in her garden. As owner of Lindsey Cole Design, her creative consulting offerings include flower arranging.
In the terrace room, inspection of the artwork reveals an embedded series of photos of the artist’s son.
In the sunroom, the linen sofa and club chairs are from Ralph Lauren Home, and the vintage coffee table is through Dovecote.
The stone fences on the property were built by Kenneth Nicholsen.
The traditional exterior of the 1800s Colonial (facade redesigned by David Scott Parker Architects) hides an eclectic mix within.
A hint of the original post-and-beam construction is glimpsed in the dining room, large enough to house seating, a baby grand and a triptych by artist/homeowner Charlie Miesmer.
In the terrace room, a Holly Hunt table is surrounded by chairs upholstered in a Brunschwig & Fils Les Touches fabric in a snow leopard pattern. A Moroccan antique lamp on the antique sideboard is through Bungalow.
The family room sofas are covered in chocolate suede and the armchair in Quadrilles Cap Ferrat. Coffee table is topped with a painting of Miesmer’s sealed with polyurethane. Rug is through ABC Carpet & Home.
In the master bedroom, the white cream linen sleigh bed is through ABC Carpet & Home, and the sconces are through Klaff’s.
In the third-floor guest room, the headboard is upholstered with Rogers & Goffigon ticking. The lamp is through Circa Lighting; duvet cover is through Restoration Hardware.
It took Charlie Miesmer a year to dry the lobster shell that he then stuffed, painted and mounted to hang in the master bathroom.

Homeowner/artist Charlie Miesmer is pictured in front of a work titled Macbeth in Turnaround, the latter referring to a movie term for a rejected script. “It’s a breakdown of Macbeth’s final speech along with quotes from people in the movie business,” he says.
In the master bedroom, white Scalamandre drapes and an upholstered white chair make the homeowner’s artwork pop. Table is through Bungalow.
The artist’s creative space is in a barn located just steps from the house.
