Late Actor Matthew Perry’s Last Home Purchase Lists in Hollywood Hills

Last year, Friends star Matthew Perry tragically passed away at his Pacific Palisades home. While information about that property was often in the news, a house he owned nearby has flown under the radar until now. Perry made his last home purchase months before his sudden passing, picking up this sleek property in Hollywood Hills through an LLC. Mansion Global reports he paid just below $5 million for it in an off-market deal. Now, the single-story midcentury modern has listed for $5.195 million.

Built in 1957 and perched between Sunset Strip and The Bird Streets, the location is arguably as cool as the house itself. The entire atmosphere fosters this alluring, laidback Hollywood feel perfect for A-list dinner parties or pool days. Walls of glass wrap the back of the house, allowing the open interiors to look out to the serene pool and hilly greenery. Thanks to the abundant flora, when you’re relaxing on the patio there’s not a neighbor in sight. Perhaps this level of privacy, along with the home’s architectural flair, is what attracted Perry.

While the 2,793-square-foot home has a great midcentury vibe, it has also been thoroughly renovated to reflect the best of past and present. Buyers can discover features like the double-sided fireplace in the living room, the updated kitchen, and the suave screening room fit for a movie star. When it comes to accommodations, the residence has three bedrooms but is currently configured as a two-bedroom.

The home hit the market last week and listing agents Greg Holcomb and Tim Durkovic of Douglas Elliman have declined to comment.
