Actor Seann William Scott Asks $17.85M for His Cool, Longtime Malibu Home Above Zuma Beach

The four-film, raunchy comedy franchise American Pie is set in the fictional town of East Great Falls, Michigan. But, Seann William Scott, the now-49-year-old known for his iconic role as Steve Stifler, actually lives at a breathtaking Malibu pad above popular Zuma Beach. Not for much longer though…The movie star is now selling the cool contemporary for $17.85 million.

According to the Robb Report, Scott paid nearly $4 million for the property in 2004—shortly after the release of American Wedding (the third of four movies in the American Pie series). Its price increase is certainly a sign of the times. After all, notable neighbors have been listing their Malibu homes for even greater amounts: Retired hockey player Chris Chelios is currently seeking $60 million for his modern and a clifftop mansion that once belonged to late night host Johnny Carson is on the market for $110 million.

Overlooking the ocean and steps from the beach, Scott’s 4,176-square-foot home was originally built in 1980 and boasts that organic, unfussy yet polished style Malibu has become famous for. Expanses of glass and stone details blur the lines between inside and out, while a myriad of wood elements interweave inviting character. The sophisticated, modern kitchen features bespoke cabinetry to match the coastal-Cali vibe of the house, while the living and dining rooms open up to the outdoors for easy entertaining.

Outside, the one-and-a-half acre property holds an oval pool, tennis court, and unexpected water features like a tranquil koi pond. Of course, there are plenty of areas to lounge, linger, and catch the sunset. After all, what else would you want from a Malibu escape?

For those interested in a slice of paradise and, of course, celebrity bragging rights, Chris Cortazzo of Compass holds the five-bedroom listing.
