It’s fairly common to watch the price of real estate listings drop after some time on the market. Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s Hamptons home is an example of that: It first listed for $29 million in 2022, was adjusted to $24.9 million in January of 2023, and dropped down to $18.995 million in January of 2024. However, the property is back on the market for $21 million—an almost 11% increase from its last listing price. Perhaps a reflection of the strength of the Hamptons market as 2025 closes?
Alec Baldwin—a staple in the Hamptons scene—purchased this historic Amagansett property in 1995. A year later, he built an addition onto the home, and in 2014, he and Hilaria worked on another addition. The property spans five acres, and backs up to another three acres of agricultural reserve. There is certainly room for the next owner to continue building out a compound.
“I fell in love with this place the moment I came here,” Baldwin shared in a 2024 listing video. “This is the main family home of the former Potter Farm, the Potter family. You just can’t get this out here anymore, you can’t buy big pieces of land, especially in Amagansett that I know of.”
Today, the home totals 9,000 square feet, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths. For those with grand aspirations, there are approved architectural plans to add two bedrooms, a formal dining room, sunroom, and screened-in porch. The residence features charming farmhouse details, like wood beams and dark hardwood floors. Standout spaces include a movie theater, wine tasting room, and a wood-paneled library. Outside, there is a pool pavilion with a fireplace and a vegetable garden amid the sprawling lawn.
