Months before the release of his directorial debut, A Star Is Born, which opened this past weekend with rave reviews and some boffo box office numbers, Bradley Cooper dropped $13.5 million on a Greenwich Village townhouse. According to the Wall Street Journal, the actor-turned-director scooped up the delightful, red-brick abode back in May.Though the sale has largely been kept under wraps, details that we do know about Cooper’s new digs paint a charming picture. The 4,000-square-foot home boasts six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, including a full floor master suite with a gas-burning fireplace, cast iron soaking tub, and skylight. There is plenty of room for his family to keep growing, as he and his supermodel partner Irina Shayk welcomed a daughter last year.Cooper’s new pad also stars a 1,000-bottle wine cellar and an additional 1,100-square-feet of outdoor space. Most enchanting of these is a private garden in the house’s rear, accessed via a set of French doors.Justin S. Parks of ScottParks International Realty had the pristine Manhattan listing.
