Lacquer Side Table
Beautiful, artistic – and durable – this lacquer table with Oriental detail feet which belie its Chinese inspiration, is from a collection by acclaimed interior designer Veere Grenney. Handmade by Vietnamese artisans, coat after coat of lacquer is applied, dried, sanded, and reapplied, building up a waterproof surface which is polished to a high gloss finish. The Son Mai table and its larger version are on display in the just opened Lacquer Company showroom at the New York Design Center.
