With spring arrived, no need to drag home bags of ice or journey to Antarctica for an invigorating stimulating “polar” plunge. With the HomePlunge no bathroom renovation or plumbing modification is required. Merely fill the bathtub with water, insert the two insulated hoses using a simple adapter, plug in the electricity to a standard wall outlet, and the compact portable device quickly chills the water to a desired temperature. Powered by a one-horsepower compressor, the bathwater is circulated and chilled at a rate of 20-30 °F per hour, and held at the desired chill temperature throughout the soak.
Named a CES honoree in fitness, optional accessories include a drip pan to avoid spilling when retained water is filtered and cleaned, a tub covering insulator, and a bath stone to step onto after a chilling dip to foster muscle recovery, reduced inflammation and joint soreness, improved mood, and sleep quality.
