A GOOD STORY

Bobby Graham and Matt Marden—known for their sense of style and storytelling—launched a new venture, Dugazon, that is getting a lot of buzz. The home and lifestyle shop in Sharon offers home goods, kitchen and pantry staples, linens, books, candles and distinctive curios. “Dugazon is a carefully curated retail space that feels like stepping into a well-loved home: warm, inviting and filled with meaningful discoveries,” note Graham and Marden. “Blending heritage and intentional selection, Dugazon offers objects ranging from new to antique and vintage that transform everyday moments into something special and intentional.” Set in an 1830s Victorian farmhouse, the shop is begging to be explored. The shop’s moniker is a sentimental tribute to Graham’s mother. Dugazon was her maiden name, and the couple chose it to represent heritage, tradition and her signature Southern hospitality. You will find well-loved and undiscovered brands and an every-changing inventory of treasures.

GO WEST

Ralph Lauren Home’s Canyon Road collection, released this fall, celebrates the American West, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the region’s landscapes and lifestyle. The anthology of home furnishings features natural materials like rustic oak, hand-burnished saddle leather and textiles in traditional Navajo designs—in collaboration with seventh-generation weavers Naiomi and Tyler Glasses. “The Canyon Road collection speaks to my long-time love of the American West—the heroic beauty of its landscapes, its unique heritage and the Indigenous people who have been part of preserving its lands and traditions for centuries,” says Ralph Lauren. “Bringing the most authentic expression of the West to life means working with the artisans practicing these traditions and sharing their stories with the world.”

Located in the quaint town of Chatham, NY, the Marton & Davis emporium is definitely worth the drive from Connecticut. The shop, opened by friends Melissa Davis and Sherri Marton, is filled with an eclectic mix of sundries including “very popular” Swedish candy plus old and new finds—antique ironstone, vintage books and favorite brands like John Derian, Tensira, John Robshaw, Bordallo Pinheiro, Heather Taylor Home and Mary Maguire art. “We sell a curated selection of beautiful home goods that make a house a home.” says Marton “We stock a few things that are exclusive to the shop—a gorgeous new perfume called Kinrove based out of Coxsackie,” adds Davis. “We love supporting our favorite local brands.” E-commerce should be up and running in time for holiday shopping.
