What began as a seasonal destination is becoming a permanent fixture in West Palm Beach. Eric Firestone Gallery will officially open its year-round Florida Avenue location in mid-November, strengthening its commitment to the city’s growing community of collectors, artists, and design enthusiasts. For founder Eric Firestone, a Miami native, the move was a natural progression. “I grew up in Miami, so South Florida has always had a hold on me, something personal, almost sentimental, about coming back,” he says. “We’ve had a permanent home in New York while showing at fairs in Miami for years, and at a certain point, formalizing that presence stopped being a question of if and became a question of when.”

Following two seasonal presentations, the gallery will continue pairing historical works with contemporary voices through evolving salon-style installations. Its programming champions overlooked histories alongside emerging perspectives in American art, with artists including Pat Passlof, Joe Overstreet, Lauren de la Roche, and Hûe Thi Hoffmaster. “Scholarship has always been the backbone of this gallery, and I think people will feel that the minute they come through the door,” says Firestone. “What’s different here is putting historical work and new voices in the same room. You get this dialogue that never really sits still.”

That dialogue extends beyond the gallery walls. “Living with art is something people want, not something they necessarily need,” says Firestone. “When it’s right, a piece enters into a real dialogue with the interior design and architecture around it.” That perspective also reflects the gallery’s relationship with its South Florida audience. “The South Florida collector often comes to it with a design-forward instinct, thinking about how a piece will actually live in their home.”

Community will remain central to the permanent location through talks, receptions, and informal gatherings connecting artists, collectors, and the broader Palm Beach community. With locations in New York City and East Hampton, the gallery’s permanent West Palm Beach presence marks its next chapter. As Firestone puts it, “This isn’t a market you dip into for a season and disappear from. It rewards commitment.”
