Kirsten Dunst’s Former Downtown NYC Penthouse Lists for $7M

While actress Kirsten Dunst may not have ever lived in a palace like her famous character did when she starred in Marie Antoinette, she did own a luxurious downtown Manhattan penthouse in a more Spider-Man-esque fashion. Now, her longtime downtown spread is on the market for $6,950,000.

According to the Observer, the actress bought the apartment for $3.09 million in July of 2007—less than a year after Marie Antoinette was released. More than a decade later, Dunst sold the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit to the current sellers in 2018 for $4.43 million.

Set on the corner of Canal Street and Washington Street, arched windows offer expansive views of the Hudson River. With only eight stories and eight units, the building is already quaint, but this listing offers even more privacy and convenience with a private elevator located at the side entrance, installed by Dunst.

Of course, that’s not where the posh perks end. The primary suite boasts northern views of the city, a large closet, and ensuite bathroom with a shower, bath, and towel warmers. The second bedroom is currently configured as a library/den with a Murphy bed, ideal for weekend guests. Perhaps making it a perfect pied-à-terre. The chic pad is fully renovated but offers industrial, vintage allure. Highlights include the chef’s kitchen, exposed brick details, 11-foot ceilings, a claw-foot bathtub, custom mosaic tile floors in the bathroom, and a walk-in wardrobe.

Laura Weinkam of Corcoran holds the Hudson Square listing—ideally located on the edge of trendy Tribeca and SoHo.
