Longtime Cruise Industry CEO Seeks $15.9M for Splashy Beachfront Florida Home

Vero Beach in Florida is a favorite spot for many in the Sunshine State, boasting a lively downtown and beautiful beaches. Nicknamed “The Gateway to the Tropics,” the coastal town just an hour north of Palm Beach is a place where one can kick back with a colorful cocktail, lay out on a lounge chair, and bask in the sun with ease. So, it’s no wonder it attracted a cruise industry heavy-hitter. Frank J. Del Rio, founder of Oceania Cruises and most recently the CEO of Norwegian Cruises, has a gorgeous beachfront home here that he just listed for $15.9 million.

Del Rio just stepped down from his CEO position in March of 2023 after navigating one of the most difficult times in cruise ship history: The COVID pandemic. It seems as he sails into a new chapter, Del Rio may be looking for a new place to start his retirement or is simply no longer in need of this home, not far from Miami where Norwegian Cruises is based.

Designed with a splashy lifestyle in mind, the home employs only the finest materials and the highest-quality features. The main floor is bright and airy, taking in light from all around to illuminate the Snaidero luxury kitchen and custom Italian built-ins. These sun-soaked spaces open to the oceanfront patio outside for lovely al fresco dining.

Within the nearly 5,700-square-foot property, there are seven bedrooms and eight full bathrooms. The primary room sits in its own corner, including a marble bathroom and private terrace. Other amenities on deck include a pool and a private walkway right to the beach.

O’Dare Boga Dobson Group of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.
