A trip to The Orchid Show: Natural Heritageat the New York Botanical Garden has us ready for spring inside and out. Thousands of colorful orchids are on display through Sunday, April 23. Landscape artist Lily Kwong designed the installations, which are inspired by ancient Chinese garden design and artistic principles. While florals for spring decorating are nothing new, here are six ways to bring a little bit of the show, its vibrant colors, and its springtime motifs into your own home for a refresh.

Accessories designer Joanna Buchanan used Cole & Son’s orchid wallpaper as a starting point and painted the fireplace mantel green. The chair from ABC Carpet & Home is covered in a Designers Guild velvet. Buchanan’s husband salvaged the brass light fixture. Tour the Wilton home here.

This guest room/den in New York City boasts many of the same vibrant colors as this year’s orchids—green, yellow, and pink. The sofa is covered in a Dedar velvet. The chair is from Fritz Hansen and the roman shade and lamp fabric is from Pierre Frey. Tour the apartment here.

Much like the orchids at the New York Botanical Garden, a floral Voutsa wallcovering overtakes this powder room. The vanity and fittings are Duravit. Tour the apartment here.
