Just one block from Central Park, director Paul Feig and his wife Laurie have just listed their Manhattan apartment for $2.995 million. Set within a Prewar Art Deco condo between Madison and Park Avenues, the light-filled unit on 61st St. presents a design-forward layout, opening with a checkered tile foyer and Elizabeth Dow wallpaper.
Feig is best known for directing the Kristin Wiig hit Bridesmaids, as well as last year’s The Housemaid, starring Amanda Seifried and Sydney Sweeny. He has also directed other Melissa McCarthy comedies like Ghostbusters, The Heat and Spy. According to Mansion Global, the Feigs have owned the apartment since 2017, when they purchased it for $2.95 million.
Along with its high-profile owners, what sets this apartment apart is its rare access to outdoor space, including a 400-square-foot private terrace. “The minute you sit down at the outdoor dining table, the wall covers you, so you can have a very private dinner party out there in the middle of Manhattan,” Paul Feig told Architectural Digest, which featured the apartment.
Inside, the one-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is equally magazine worthy, with an open kitchen and colorful, eclectic interiors. In the living room, green, chinoiserie print wallpaper by Gracie Studio is framed by millwork to serve as art. The kitchen’s pink mosaic backsplash complements a pink and gold Capital Lighting chandelier, and the bedroom features damask patterned walls and a sky blue ceiling inset that feels like a skylight.
