After owning it for 25 years, Georgette Mosbacher has decided to list her opulent full-floor apartment at 1020 Fifth Avenue for $29.5M, reports Curbed. A fixture on the New York political scene and frequent donor to the GOP, her home has been the site of dinner parties with world elites ranging from King Juan Carlos I of Spain to Tom Hanks and nearly every Republican political player since the Nixon administration. In an interview with W Magazine, she casually revealed, “Cruz has been here, Kasich has been here, Donald has been here.” No doubt they all sat around the 18-seat dining table in her entertaining-ready dining room, which flows into a living room that boasts intricately detailed ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace. A cozy corner library off the living room lies adjacent to the columned gallery, accessible via a private elevator. There is also a gourmet kitchen with an attached butler’s pantry, two private bedroom suites, and a master suite that has two marble bathrooms, a study and a dressing room. John Burger of Brown Harris Stevens represents the listing.
