You may wonder what a supermodel’s personal clothing style is after seeing them showcase haute couture or resort wear from all the top fashion houses. But, what about their house style? Linda Evangelista, who is iconic for being one of the original supermodels rising to world-famous stardom in the 1990s, just listed a Manhattan penthouse that is giving a glimpse into the kind of place she likes to call home.
A Canadian native, but a citizen of the world with her travels, Evangelista hasn’t owned the West Chelsea pad too long. The celeb purchased the 4,022-square-foot condo in 2021, making it her New York City home base. According to the Robb Report, it first listed for $9.5 million last year. Now, the fashionable seller is seeking $8.195 million for it, looking quite motivated to catch a buyer.
With this new price, that shouldn’t be too tricky given the four-bedroom penthouse’s cool aesthetic and coveted amenities. Perched atop a circa-1930 building, the condo exudes laidback, modern elegance while still harkening to aspects of New York City 100 years ago with its raw, industrial elements. Not only does it have good bones with exposed brick, polished concrete floors, 13-foot ceilings, and skylights, but it also boasts designer finishes and gorgeous High Line views. There’s also a valuable 2,500 square feet of outdoor space. That’s right, a private rooftop. How much more “model glamorous” does it get?
Steve Gold of The Corcoran Group, whose own stunning NYC home was recently available to rent, holds the listing.
