Preppy clothing brand Tory Burch is known for being timeless yet bold, so co-founder J. Christopher Burch may have had that aesthetic in mind when purchasing this Miami Beach estate. While paralleling the sophisticated fashion line with a classic white exterior, the home is still infused with Miami’s vibrant energy. Initially listed for $19.75 million in 2017, billionaire Burch just picked it up for $14.2 million. Situated right on Biscayne Bay with views of Downtown Miami, the fashion mogul certainly got a sweet deal.
There are ten bedrooms, eleven baths, and two powder rooms spread between the 7,746-square-foot mansion and charming guest home. As the estate was originally built in 1936, interiors pay tribute to Miami’s old glamorous style, however, recent renovations gave it a delightful refresh. Shining with simple elegance, it has bright white walls and chic details throughout.
Although, the entrepreneur may be spending more time outside in the Miami sun thanks to the decked-out grounds. The property offers an outdoor kitchen, pool and lounge area, as well as a dock ideal for entertaining and 139-feet of water frontage.
Fabio Lopes of Coldwell Banker Realty, who represented Burch, told Mansion Global that he plans to make this his primary residence. With all this luxury in a prime location, it’s easy to see why.
Chad Carroll and Mariana Trentini of Douglas Elliman held the listing.
