Benny Blanco has been all over the news recently, thanks to his recent engagement to Selena Gomez and their collaborative newly-released album, I Said I Love You First. The talented songwriter/singer/producer often works with household name artists and impresses with many hit songs—such as ‘Diamonds’ by Rihanna and ‘Love Yourself’ by Justin Bieber—but now he’s making headlines for a different reason: Real estate. After 14 years, Blanco just parted ways with his cool NYC condo for $3.6 million.
According to Robb Report, Blanco originally purchased the airy and open pad, sitting in Chelsea Mercantile, for $3.4 million in 2011. Sat on the sixth floor, the 2,200-square-foot space is lofty and modern, thanks to a renovation by Blanco himself. Crisp interiors are drenched in light, while contemporary fixtures and ample art on the walls add personality.
An airy chef’s kitchen is sleek and boasts top-of the-line appliances, while the dining room and living room provide extra relaxation space. With three bedrooms, the producer could host guests when necessary or feel right at home creatively with his instruments. The primary suite is simple yet chic, complemented by a moody bathroom, featuring black tiling and a walnut soaking tub.
After almost a year on the market, Blanco has said goodbye to the loft, which bore witness to years of him creating chart-topping songs. John Gomes, Jacqueline Wilde and Fredrik Eklund of Douglas Elliman held the listing.
Onwards and upwards it seems. Blanco and Gomez recently picked up a $35 million, Wallace Neff-designed mansion in Beverly Hills, per multiple reports. Their new L.A. estate has star power, too, since it was once home to director Todd Phillips of The Hangover and The Joker.
