Real estate developer Harry Macklowe, who developed Manhattan’s tallest residential building, 432 Park Ave, just bought an East End getaway on Georgica Pond. The 5,500-square-foot home on West End Road in East Hampton first came on the market in 2014 asking $19.5M, but Macklowe paid $10.6.
Surrounded by nature preserves, its location affords complete privacy and the interiors feature 4 bedrooms and bathrooms as well as beach stone fireplaces. The 2.7-acre property has a pool and several hundred feet of frontage on Georgica Pond.
Douglas Elliman’s Bonny Aarons and Janette Goodstein had the listing. The New York Post reported the sale.
