Architect Michael Haverland designed this stucco-covered home in the Northwest Woods. In addition to the main residence, the property also boasts a gym and pool house linked by terraces and a low wall with a “window” open to the woods.
Rosemarie Fiore’s Firework Drawing #10 surveys the living room, which also features a Paul Frankl sofa and Milo Baughman swivel chairs upholstered in Kravet’s Venetian in Plum. The vintage lounge chair and ottoman are by Gio Ponti.
The adjacent mahogany-paneled bar is illuminated by a Gaetano Sciolari–designed chandelier.
A Restoration Hardware mirror and wooden console table are mounted on an entry wall, which is covered in Cole & Son’s Corallo wallpaper. The tree sculpture is by Curtis Jeré.
The dining room table comprises a glass top supported by a pair of sculptural brass ram’s heads; Eero Saarinen Executive dining chairs surround it. Kristin Baker’s Valanced Counterbalance hangs on the wall and Amy Sillman’s R & E sits in the corner.
The kitchen cabinetry is covered in crushed mother-of-pearl from Architectural Systems; the hood and range are Wolf.
The study is furnished with an Eero Aarnio Bubble chair, Milo Baughman–designed swivel chairs, and a sofa and ottoman upholstered in a Kravet fabric.
In the master bedroom, a Josef Hoffmann settee sits at the foot of a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams bed.
The adjacent master bathroom features tilework in matching tonalities.
The limestone patio and pool surround are punctuated with beds of alumroot, pachysandra, and holly. The Jasper Morrison–designed chaise longues are from Kettal.
