Nine-time MLB All-Star Freddie Freeman, the L.A. Dodgers’ star hitter and first baseman, must be getting pretty accustomed to winning. In 2024 and 2025, he helped his team to become World Series champions and many speculate he’s destined for the Hall of Fame. However, in real estate, Freeman just took a loss.
The pro athlete and his wife, Chelsea Freeman, purchased this luxurious Los Angeles home in 2022 through an LLC shortly after it was completed. They dropped $7.825 million on it, per public records, but didn’t take long to move on and began trying to sell it in August 2024. First they listed it for nearly $9 million, then they cut the price to $8.39 million and kept trimming it from there. It relisted in September 2025 for $7.349 million, finally selling before year-end for $6.45 million.
While it’s not clear where the couple and their kids have moved, it is clear what they’ve left behind. Set on the border of Studio City and Sherman Oaks, the 5,035-square-foot home is a prime example of contemporary California home style and exudes a minimalist, organic feel. A rustic wood door, stone wall, and verdant greenery greets you at the street and ensures privacy. Stepping through the front door, a clean and crisp environment emerges while a natural color palette and use of materials remains essential. There are sanded limestone floors, oak-encased beams, and curving light fixtures, plus soaring high ceilings and glass doors that make everything bright and airy. This warm, chic atmosphere also floats out to the serene backyard, where a pool, lounge areas, and native plantings await.
Closing up the deal on both ends, Ginger Glass and Alexandra Glass of Compass represented the sellers and the buyers.
