Day 1 at Designing Greenwich 2025

A look inside the day full of panels and programming.

On September 24, guests of Designing Greenwich gathered at Greenwich Country Club for a day full of programming including panels, networking, and a cocktail party. The day kicked off with CTC&G Editorial Director DJ Carey moderating a conversation called “Celebrating the Country House: Connecticut and Beyond,” presented by The Hudson Company, with Bunny Williams and Elizabeth Lawrence. Next Victoria Hagan spoke with NYC&G / HC&G Editor-in-Chief Clinton Smith about “A Modern Approach to Connecticut Classics,” sponsored by Arhaus. Mara Miller, Jesse Carrier, Cindy Rinfret and Bennett Leifer spoke with writer David Masello in a panel sponsored by California Closets called “Artisans, Collaborations, and Collections: Layering in Interior Design.” The Sherwin-Williams Company presented “Color Challenge Talk” with Sue Wadden, Erick J. Espinoza, and Palm Beach Cottages & Gardens editor Harriet Mays Powell. After lunch, there were two additional panels: “Past Meets Present: Fundamentals of Great Architecture” with Ray Booth, Douglas Wright, Brian Sawyer, Elizabeth Graziolo, and moderator Matt Berman presented by Italkraft. The afternoon closed with “Going Bold in Design” featuring Alex Papachristidis, Katie Ridder, Patrick Mele, and moderator Michael Diaz-Griffith presented by Oomph Home Furnishings.
