Hundreds of booths in shows titled: Coterie, Sole, TMRW, Moda, Fame, the Accessories Show line the aisles, and we stopped by and wandered among the displays picking out some of the trends and “looks” we expect to see in stores and on upcoming websites. Here are some items and styles that caught our eye:

Dresses were simple, slim fitted sheaths

Sweaters were cut in geometric shapes or embellished with ribs and bling.

Crochet was popular for dresses and skirts

Classic toppers were upgraded-polyester motorcycle jackets and blazers with jeweled pockets

Fun furs came in colors and clever caps

Bags were also colorful and cleverly embellished and ballet flats were cut with ruffled tops

We spotted just a couple of dresses that took their cue from the popular sparkly fitted gowns on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. One, from Musani, in particular encompassed all the familiar star-wear features: black, metallic, fitted even including an Angelina Jolie leg slit.
