In a guest bedroom, existing oak beams anchor a custom 18th-century-motif toile wall covering and bedskirt fabric. The twin beds are covered in an antique French bedspread, which was cut in two and trimmed in James Hare’s Orissa silk in Geranium Pink. The benches are upholstered in Élitis’s Alter Ego velvet.
The towel and basket in the adjoining bath are from the White Company.
The house is principally made up of coarse limestone walls and a slate roof.
Nepeta racemosa, poppies, and alliums grow in profusion in the garden.
The compound’s barn has been converted by the Branson family into a conference center.
