No superstitions here—this Calabasas estate has served as the longtime home for legendary musician Stevie Wonder’s family. Though the crooner hasn’t lived there for some time, his ex-wife, artist and fashion designer Kai Milla-Morris, just listed the luxe residence for $9.7 million. This comes after she attempted to sell it for $15 million last year.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Wonder surprised Milla-Morris with the opulent home purchase in 2000, falling in love with its excellent acoustics. They raised their sons there together until 2012 when the couple split and the designer decided to stay there with the children. Looking around, you probably wouldn’t want to leave either.
Set on approximately 2.58 acres, the modern Mediterranean strikes a compelling balance between contemporary drama and airy lightness. Expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light while warm wood floors, curated artwork, and sculptural chandeliers add depth and character to each tranquil space. The vast double-height living room is anchored by one of Kai Milla-Morris’ original paintings, reinforcing the home’s artistic evolution, while a dedicated piano salon offers a clear display of how Stevie Wonder left his mark.
In her 26 years here, Milla-Morris has meticulously reimagined and decorated the 11,120-square-foot mansion. From the boutique-inspired dressing room and infrared sauna in the primary suite to the layered interiors with modern furnishings and rich textures, every space feels intentionally designed to celebrate subtle glamour, creativity, and art. Ideal for gathering as well, walls of glass dissolve the boundary between indoors and out. The main living areas open to the resort-like backyard where a custom pool, expansive terraces, and mature trees create a beautiful setting for entertaining or relaxation.
It’s easy to see why the property became a haven for Wonder’s family—and just as easy to picture another A-lister falling in love with its impressive design and size. Ashley D. Glover and Michelle Tepper of Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
