Get the Scoop on a Major Greenwich Sale That Just Closed Along the Connecticut Coast

Greenwich, Connecticut is known for its magnificent properties, with many dotting the shores of the Long Island Sound. These coastal residences include architecturally significant mansions, charming Victorians, and, even private islands. Of course, some have had famous owners, too, including Donald and Ivana Trump decades ago and a two-time Stanley Cup champion. One notable waterfront property just closed for $17.5 million dollars, making it the tony town’s most expensive sale in February and the third highest sale in Connecticut so far this year.

The posh 10-acre property overlooks the Cos Cob Harbor and Long Island Sound. With over 440 feet of water frontage, the new owners are in for a treat as the temperatures warm up. They’re in good company, too. The neighboring property is 50-acre “Copper Beech Farm,” which sold in 2023 for $138,830,000—the state’s most expensive sale, ever.

When it comes to the house itself, a shingle-style manor comprised of 8,354 square feet and five bedrooms awaits. It was thoroughly renovated in 2018 and boasts a modern kitchen and updated bathrooms with unique marble slabs. The grounds include a swimming pool overlooking the water, a guest house/party barn, and a tennis court.

Christopher Finlay of Brown Harris Stevens represented the listing while Stacey Rechler of Douglas Elliman brought the mystery buyer.
