Retail anniversaries were celebrated in New York City this week—twenty years for PINCH and thirty for Il Buco.
PINCH
A pop up shop in the Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery in SoHo was the scene for an elegant dinner served in the setting of the firm’s iconic furnishings and lighting. Esteemed British firm, PINCH is known for poetic, award-winning designs embodying a philosophy rooted in simplicity, pure forms, and superior materials.
Founder Russell Pinch and his wife, Oona, welcomed guests to the firm’s stateside debut. The evening event, cocktails, and an inventive meal served at a long plank table, was illuminated by the firm’s iconic burlap Anders overhead lights.
The pop up at 52 Walker Street, 4th floor, will be open through October 8th showing old and new pieces in the collection.
IL BUCO
Strictly translated from Italian, Il Buco means “the hole” but celebrating it’s 30th anniversary, the shop is wholly full of dishes, housewares, accessories, and a new book.
Inspired by the objects, colors, and patinas of Donna Lennard’s iconic NYC restaurants Il Buco and Alimentari, Il Buco Vita’s curated collections of tabletop and home décor items celebrate Italian craftsmanship. Hand-selected by Donna and her partners Antonello and Lorenzo Radi, each piece, marrying rustic simplicity of the old world with modern elegance and sophistication, is made by artisans they know and trust.
