Knicks Legend Allan Houston Seeks $17.5M for Sprawling, Custom-Built Home Near Greenwich

They’ve done it. Finally, 53 years since the last time the New York Knicks won an NBA championship in 1973, every New Yorker’s sports dream just came true. The Knicks clinched the 2026 Championship title against the San Antonio Spurs, winning in an impressive 4-1 run, and the city is abuzz with celebration.

Stars like Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart made this happen, while the franchise’s icons of the past watched on proudly from the sidelines. Allan Houston, a retired legend who played for the team from 1996 to 2005 and helped them reach the 1999 NBA Finals, is especially close to the victory as he serves as VP of Player Leadership and Development for the Knicks.

When he’s not busy at Madison Square Garden, Houston has a swanky family home just over the Greenwich, Connecticut border in Armonk, New York to retreat to. He and his wife custom designed and built the 17,160-square-foot residence years ago with the help of architect James Davis, and are now seeking $17.5 million for it.

“Both Allan and Tamara come from big families. It was important to them to have enough space for family gatherings and entertaining,” listing agent Danielle Claroni shares of the design process. “They also needed plenty of indoor and outdoor space for their family to play inside and outside. In addition, Allan was at the height of his career and he needed a gym and a basketball court with an NBA three-point line to keep in shape and practice his shooting.”

With eight bedrooms, there’s more than enough room now for the pair’s seven children or for hosting Knicks players for weekend training. A number of the bedrooms open onto terraces overlooking the lake and pool, punctuating the home’s peaceful location. Further luxurious highlights include the steam room, home theater, a heated pool and spa, golf green, and even a playground. Meanwhile, the home’s stately interiors will appeal to someone who wants traditional grandeur and the possibility of holding large, glamorous events. The 10.6-acre grounds with gardens and open lawns also scream for entertaining or getting active.

Perhaps an avid Knicks fan with deep pockets or even one of the team’s newest champions will score this estate, which has been on and off the market several times in the last 10 years. Claroni and Christian Perry of Sotheby’s International Realty share the listing located in prestigious Conyers Farm.
