“The asymmetrical arrangement encourages movement throughout the room,” explains Deborah Berke Partners of the parlor-floor dining room they designed, “creating easy transitions from cocktails to dinner or from standing to lounging—and it contrasts with the room’s more formal elements like the ornate plaster moldings.”

The classic tree-lined streets of Brooklyn Heights inspired resident Elena Frampton of Frampton Co. to design a “canopy of leaves” room concept. Created exclusively for the showhouse, Brooklyn based wallpaper company, Flavor Paper developed a custom Frampton Co. coloration of their Wild Thing pattern.
The grouping of rugs creates a layer of texture underfoot, while artist-edition furniture adds the distinctive flavor.

3walls was founded in 2011 by Whitney Carr, Macon Jessop, Bevin Cline and Eliza Alsop as a contemporary Brooklyn salon dedicated to exhibiting and promoting signicant new work by emerging artists, including those seen here in the Showhouse studio.

For the third-floor bedroom, designer Kathleen Walsh of Kathleen Walsh Interiors mixed a Suite NY quilted Kelly-green sofa with a textured Élitis wallpaper to create a signature look that is “both tailored and serene interiors with the right balance of interesting details, luxury and imperfection.”
