Design Debuts

Check out these two new collaborations.

Two new products, Martha by Martha Chilewich and the PIT-A-PAT Munich Table, were featured at recent press previews.

MARTHA BY MARTHA STEWART CHILEWICH

Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart

Invited to mingle under trees along gravel paths in the showroom garden, Chilewich guests greeted Martha Stewart and admired her new Martha by Martha Stewart Chilewich collection.

Designed by the lifestyle icon, 20 pieces join the firm’s innovative textiles, manufactured primarily in the USA from woven extruded vinyl yarns. Admiring the combination of woven artistry with functionality and indoor-outdoor versatility, Martha created table runners, placemats, coasters, rugs, and floor mats devised in five original weaves, two printed designs, and a signature color palette: abalone, burnt coral, flax, sea, and wheat.

PIT-A-PAT Munich Table

Minnie Kemp, design director of Kit Kemp Design and Bernhard Heinloth, CEO of Schotten & Hansen

In the new Orangerie of Firmdale’s Crosby Street Hotel, Kit Kemp Design Studio‘s Design Director, Minnie Kemp, and Schotten & Hansen CEO, Bernhard Heinloth, hosted a Bavarian breakfast to salute a new table collaboration.

Working with the German firm founded in 1984 in Bavaria to create sustainable authentic wooden products, Minnie Kemp designed a table that features an oak base supporting a bronze frame that surrounds a pioneering magnetic insert. The insert, based on Der Blaue Reiter impressionist art, is made of individual wooden veneer pieces that can be lifted out and changed for alternative designs. Munich, London, and New York are three current styles of the tables which are sold in three sizes.
