Vik Muniz’s Double Elvis flanks the park-facing living room window and an equestrian sculpture by Marsia Holzer. The salon marries fine French antiques with works by Marsia Holzer Studio, such as the bronze and walnut cocktail table and two steel and bronze side tables with faux croc tops. The work above the fireplace is by Hugo Guinness.
The paneled dining room features a guanacaste-wood table by Holzer and bronze and walnut chairs that she designed with her son Chayt. Four silkscreens from Andy Warhol’s “Cowboys and Indians” series hang on the walls.
The foyer features works from Warhol’s “Last Supper” series, as well as a console, chair, lamp, and wrapped-bronze chandelier by Holzer. The torso is by Robert Graham.
A portrait of Holzer by John Pascoe hangs in the home office. Holzer made the cocktail table from a single piece of wood. The Louis XIV chair and Oriental rug are from ABC Carpet & Home.
The red media room features vintage Gio Ponti chairs and a work by Keith Haring.
Holzer designed the sconces and had the bedside cabinets made from antique Moroccan doors. The painting is John James’s contemporary take on Uccello’s Battle of San Romano.The blanket is from Hermès.
A metallic grass cloth from Janovic was cut into a textured checkerboard for the master bedroom’s walls, echoing a patchwork rug from ABC Carpet & Home.
