NOMAD Reimagines the Art Fair Experience in the Hamptons

The celebrated design showcase makes its highly anticipated U.S. debut in Water Mill.

NOMAD, the traveling showcase for collectible design and art directed by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, will launch its first U.S. edition in the Hamptons June 25–28 at The Watermill Center, the experimental arts center founded by Robert Wilson.

Since its founding in 2017, NOMAD has become known for its refined, site-specific format, bringing together collectible design, contemporary and modern art, and fine craftsmanship within exceptional architectural settings: from a former clinic and an ancient monastery to a 15th-century palazzo and a decommissioned airport. As an antidote to large-scale fairs, its tightly curated approach fosters intimacy and meaningful exchange among collectors, galleries, global patrons, and cultural figures.

For this inaugural edition, international galleries will present site-responsive exhibitions of collectible design and contemporary art across The Watermill Center’s buildings and grounds, accompanied by a program of talks, events, and special visits shaped by the unique character of the region.
