Rosy June Shopping

10 products with a nod to the official flower of the month.

Along with giving us Midsummer and the year’s longest daylight, June also provides the Juneteenth celebration of emancipation, Pride Month, a time to commemorate Caribbean-American Heritage, and National Smile Month. Pearl is the month’s birthstone, and since the birthday flower is the rose, we’ve picked out some rose themed items to suggest. We’re “in the pink” with these salutes to the official flower of the month.

Big Blooms

Isabelle is the name given to this pale pink beauty by former fashion photographer Paul Lange whose Big Bloom portraits highlight the beauty and personalities of flowers he finds, poses, and preserves in numbered limited edition prints sold in three to four sizes. Custom made, each print can be ordered in consultation with the buyer.

Dusty Rose Taco Tote

Raffia handwoven by female artisans in Rwanda and crafted into finished bags in Sicily, Cesta brand products are mission-based, focused on a positive social impact through joyful, ethically-made accessories. This roomy limited-edition tote with a hand-braided Italian Napa leather handle has 18-karat gold-plated brass hardware, an interior leather pocket—and, it’s both renewable and biodegradable.

Courtley Horseshoe

Molded pink roses embellish this good luck charm. Crafted by artisans in Aurora, New York, with MacKenzie-Child’s characteristic checked pattern and lined with gold lustre, the wall decoration promises potential flowery fortune for shoppers lucky enough to buy it before the limited edition runs out.

Little Kids Muckster Light Eva Clog

Pretty rose-tone pink Muckster clogs are sized for kids only, and like the popular grown up multi-color versions they’re built of eco-friendly BioLite foam, which has been Green Leaf certified by Intertek testing to biodegrade. Light-weight, slip resistant, durable, easy to clean, the upper is designed with holes for ventilation and drainage.

Riedel’s Veloce Rose Glass

June launches the summer season for refreshing rose wines, and glasses developed in harmony with the specific grape varieties—taller, with a thinner stem and fine bowl—reveal the bouquet and freshness of the fresh fruit flavors helping beautifully open the bouquet. Cutting-edge technologies and precision tools enable Riedel to machine produce glassware that looks and feels homemade.

Crane Rose Notes

Embracing “a timeless icon of love,” Crane stationery offers elegant note cards illustrated with exquisitely detailed rose engravings. A box of ten paired with lined envelopes is a graceful means to express warm thoughts.

The Rounds

Not just any cookie, Rounds are handmade to order in Brooklyn of fine East Coast ingredients: King Arthur Flour, Vermont Creamery Butter. This month favors the Sweet versions frosted in pink, but savories with Maldon sea salt, authentic Parmesan and Gruyere cheeses spice up other options. Delivered by UPS, any morsels not devoured after ten days can be frozen for future enjoyment.

Rosemary Barbecue Plantlings

And don’t overlook ROSEmary. Barbecue grilled meats and vegetables are enhanced by marinades delivering its flavor with hints of pine and citrus. After peeling the needle-like leaves, the stems can be used as barbecue skewers. Three live baby Plantlings™ are delivered ready for transplanting to provide aromatic flavors all summer long.

Sutherland Ona Sofa

Sink into pink in a Sutherland Ona Sofa upholstered in Sake Stripe from the Rose All Day collection. Designed by Eugeni Quitllet, the wooden frame piece has rounded edges reminiscent of sea-weathered stones.

Mustard Made Standard Locker

Tidy up with a reimagined old-school locker for home, work, play. In colorful rosy-pink powder coated steel, the “Standard” is a pretty, practical cheerful spot for storing pots and pans, baby diapers, sneakers, T.V. units—just about anything.
