Surface Salute

Cosentino celebrates its latest collection: Japanese-inspired tiles.

A new collection of ready-to-install fluted and silky tiles was introduced at a dinner hosted by Cosentino, a global leader in producing sustainable surfaces. Inspired by Japanese and contemporary design, the matte finish Dekton Ukiyo tiles are designed to awaken the senses and evoke a feeling of wellness by creating calm, beautiful spaces.

Introduced at the dinner by CEO Eduardo Cosentino and high-end interior designer Claudia Afshar, who created the collection, the 17.7” x 118” tiles are full lifecycle carbon neutral and come in five Dekton colorways ready to be applied to facades, fireplaces, custom furniture, and more.

In Japanese, Ukiyo means “to live by the moment” and guests dined on wasabi cucumber totoki, salmon serrano, ginger, myoga, spicy lobster butter poached tobiko, and other menu delicacies listed on hand-held blocks of fluted Ukiyo.
