Sensuous furnishings offset the formal living room’s strict lines. Curves are seen throughout, from the pair of Vladimir Kagan sofas to the mid-20th-century cocktail table. The tone-on-tone silk rug is from Odegard.
Soraida Bedoya’s porcelain-on-linen Bed Hooks hangs in the living room, which receives filtered light through open-weave drapes by Larsen. The rice-paper ceiling fixture is by John Wigmore.
A light fixture by Helen Gifford hangs above a raw-edged walnut table in the high-ceilinged dining room.
The living room fireplace is accented with reclaimed wood; the hand-hewn walnut table is flanked by custom-upholstered swivel chairs.
The kitchen features a polished limestone floor and inset mirrors that reflect a view of the woods. Simple walnut barstools with stainless-steel legs are pulled up to the Luce de Luna quartzite kitchen island.
Extra shimmer appears in the high-gloss cabinetry and stainless-steel accents in the Wolf wall ovens, Viking dishwashers and Sub-Zero refrigerators.
The vanity in the ample master bath is lacquer and stone. A Barbuda chair upholstered in faux leather and a Duravit tub flank a woven wool rug.
The roofline and three interconnected pavilions are subtle gestures to the building that originally stood on the property.
Alongside a breezeway, Joel Perlman’s Seven Ponds II anchors the courtyard side of the swimming pool, across from a pair of Royal Botania chaise longues.
