Just over a year after listing the Hollywood Hills residence he spent roughly a decade making into his ideal sanctuary, actor Chris Evans is still waiting for a buyer to bite. The A-list celebrity, who is best known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel universe, just put it back on the market with a new price. Originally seeking nearly $7 million, the 4,600-square-foot home perched above Mulholland Canyon now wants $6.395 million.
Like a superhero’s hideaway, it sits behind gates at the end of a dead-end street. With such a secluded and elevated site, the next owner will gain A-list-level privacy and majestic views that stretch all the way to the ocean.
But, perhaps the home’s true superpower is in the feeling it creates. Impressive and luxurious yet approachable, the architecture, park-like grounds, and interiors by Stewart-Gulrajani promise comfortability and ease. Whether you’re wandering through the vineyard-inspired gardens, lounging by the pool, or hosting guests across the neutral-infused interiors, a blanket of tranquility coats the experience here. By keeping the palette organic and subdued, texture and material choices shine brightly, as do the incredible surrounding views.
Unmistakably wellness-forward, the property also has a detached house where Evans, who has had to stay in top-shape for his action-packed roles, placed a state-of-the-art gym, kitchen, and office. Along with these amenities, the property offers four spacious bedrooms, a dreamy chef’s kitchen, and airy living spaces.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the actor is selling his longtime sanctuary to move closer to family on the East Coast. He purchased the L.A. spread in 2013 for $3.52 million. Scott Moore, Estates Director of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California still holds the listing though the price has changed.
