‘America’s Next Top Model’ Star Jay Manuel’s Bauhaus-Style Wilton Home Comes to Market

It’s not every day that charming and heavily-wooded Wilton, Connecticut has a celebrity listing. The town’s neighbors, such as Westport and Greenwich, are another story. However, now you can buy the fashionable Wilton home of Jay Manuel, best known for serving as the photoshoot creative director on the infamous reality TV show, America’s Next Top Model.

Records show that Manuel purchased the 2.75-acre spread in 2011 and attempted to sell it in 2019 and 2021. Now, he’s hoping to reel in $4.975 million for the five-bedroom residence, which is definitely not a Colonial. Indeed, in a pre-Revolutionary War town full of new and old Colonial-style abodes, his Bauhaus-style gem stands out for its bold, curving presence.

Surrounded by trees, the bright-white home has an artful feel that starts with a red, balloon-animal sculpture in the cul-de-sac driveway. That’s the first hint that this isn’t your average New England home. Inside, contemporary interiors accented by pops of orange and unique light fixtures punctuate this further. The living spaces are open, fresh, and defined by walls of glass that look out to the tranquil, green scenery Wilton is loved for.

Patios, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, and a Zen garden complement the large, sparkling pool for endless summer fun. Who says you have to live on the coast to unwind and entertain with stylish panache? In fact, many celebs have purchased inland Connecticut or New York properties for their relaxing backdrops and easy privacy. Pete Davidson, Drew Barrymore, and former NFL star Chris Simms are a few other examples.
