Jeanne Yang is a stylist to the stars, including celebrities like Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr., Jason Momoa, and Keanu Reeves, so it’s no surprise her home is a show-stopper. Yang and her husband Scott Cort, a real estate agent with Sotheby’s International Realty’s Beverly Hills Brokerage, have long held this cool midcentury modern designed by the famed Richard Neutra, F.A.I.A and they just put it up for sale.
The J.N. Baldwin House was built in 1962, but the sellers have spent approximately $1 million dollars on restoration and upgrades since purchasing it in 2000. Most recently, they put in a brand-new, all-white, Bulthaup-style kitchen. They also added new landscaping and a bamboo deck to accompany the newly upgraded pool. They have done all of this while respecting the legendary architect’s vision, which has been wonderfully maintained. Neutra’s original chalk drawings, blueprints, and construction book for the project are available as well.
The private and gated home in Woodland Hills boasts four bedrooms and three full bathrooms across 3,064 square feet. It has classic Neutra touches throughout, including original built-ins in the master bedroom.
As perhaps only a stylist and a real estate agent can do, the pair made upgrades that enhance the home experience without taking away from the property’s unique identity. Ever a Neutra creation, its ribbon windows and clean lines are unmistakable.
Allen Roth of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the architecture lover’s dream listing.
