A Hollywood Power Couple Is Seeking $2.5M for Their Palm Springs Gem

Terence Winter—a writer and executive producer on HBO’s iconic series The Sopranos—and Rachel Winter—the producer behind The Space Between—are selling their residence on the picturesque Indian Canyons Golf Resort course. The Hollywood power couple is seeking $2,450,000 for the striking spread.

Palm Springs has midcentury moderns aplenty, but this one has a particularly notable storyline. The home was previously owned by Jack Quigley, a general manager of Indian Canyons Golf Resort who was well-connected with figures like Ronald Regan and Bob Hope. In 1968, Quigley even helped host the Governors’ Gala in his front yard on the course’s 7th hole, which President-Elect Richard M. Nixon attended. Moreover, architect Hugh Kaptur, whose work is prominent throughout Palm Springs, is behind the circa-1962 abode. All of this makes it quite fitting that the Winters chose to reside here. After all, Terence and Rachel Winter are responsible for bringing some very well-known stories to the screen; with Terence receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay in The Wolf of Wall Street and Rachel receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture with Dallas Buyers Club.

Their four-bedroom home’s unique architecture and shape could be worthy of some design award nominations, too. An aerial view showcases the exterior’s mix of sloping curves and clean lines, with expansive walls of glass looking out to the golf course and mountains to create an utterly peaceful environment wherever you are. While the original footprint remains intact, the interiors have been modernized for today’s living. Outside, a swimming pool, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and three-hole putting green await as well as a detached casita perfect to utilize for additional accommodations or as an office space.
