Honey Co-Founder Wants $150M for This Newly Completed Bel Air Megamansion

Within L.A.’s famously posh Bel Air neighborhood, an over-the-top compound is looking for a buyer to say “Honey, I’m home!” George Ruan, the co-founder of Honey (the browser extension that finds and applies coupon codes for online purchases), is selling an expansive modern. Ruan bought the unfinished residence designed by Saota in 2020 and worked with Woods + Dangaran to complete the property. Clocking in at almost 21,000 square feet, it’s seeking a staggering $150 million with no coupon code in sight.

The property boasts 360-degree views of Los Angeles, with impressive outdoor living spaces to soak in the sweet scenery. This includes an infinity pool, a sunken fire pit, cabana areas for dining or lounging, and an outdoor kitchen. But, a new owner won’t even have to step foot outside to capture the vistas. Walls of glass make the landscape beyond part of the interior experience, especially in primary suite opening to a terrace.

In addition to the main residence, the property includes a one-bedroom guest house with a gym, spa, and second pool. It’s hard to believe it all fits on just 1.15 acres. Together, the structures offer nine bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. Then, separate staff quarters with a prep kitchen and laundry area round out the accommodations.

The seller and his fellow co-founder, Ryan Hudson, sold Honey to PayPal for $4 billion in 2019, so it’s no surprise Ruan has a Bel Air home listed for such a price. Aaron Kirman of the Aaron Kirman Group at Compass holds the costly, hilltop listing.
